Alan
L. Rosenfeld, DDS, FACD
Dr. Rosenfeld graduated from
the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois, USA in
1974. Following graduation he completed
a general practice residency in 1975 at Michael Reese hospital, also in
Chicago. He attended the University of
Pennsylvania for specialty training in periodontics from 1975 to 1977. After completion of his specialty training,
Dr. Rosenfeld became the director of graduate periodontics at Northwestern
University Dental School from 1977 to 1983.
He completed certification in periodontology and was awarded Diplomate
status by the American Board of Periodontology in 1982. Dr. Rosenfeld was inducted into the American
College of Dentists in 1995. He is a
guest lecturer at the L. D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Publications can be found in the
“International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry”, 1991, 1992,
1996, the “Compendium of Continuing Education”, 1996. In addition, he has
contributed chapters in two Quintessence textbooks on implant diagnostics. Dr. Rosenfeld, has been an advisor to
Columbia Scientific Inc, developer of SIM/Plant interactive CT diagnostics. He
is currently involved in the utilization of CT treatment planning and its use
in the design of surgical-restorative templates. Dr. Rosenfeld is a professor
of clinical periodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry
where his chief responsibility is teaching implant diagnostics and surgery as
well as periodontal plastic surgery.
